What is this service for?
This service that keeps under a constant watch apps on your list and notify you the moment anything changes about it, such as version or price, by an RSS/ATOM feed.
What benefit do I have using This?
Some examples are:
  • You like a paid app, but its cost is a bit high. What you can do is to add the app to your list, and this service will notify you when the app is updated or on sale.
  • You like a game, but you finished all the levels, and the developer promised to add some extra levels. Instead of leaving the game installed on your device occupying space and waiting for the promissed update, uninstall the app and add it instead to your list, when it gets updated you will be notified to redownload and play the new levels.
  • With Android Play Store Auto Update feature enabled, you miss most app updates, with notifications on selected apps you can see when those apps gets updated.
What modifications on an app trigger the notification?
AppFeed.net tracks the following fields for modifications, and any change on them will trigger to notification:
  • Application name
  • Version
  • Last updated on
  • Price (both increase and decrease)
  • Icon
Some features are missing, can you add them to AppFeed.net?
Just drop me an email at the Contact Me page, and I'll consider your ideas.
The main functionality of this website is to be an App tracker service, and not an App discovery service. If you want to look for new apps then this is the wrong location, check some other app discovery services then come back with the app you want to track and insert its link here.
How long do Apps stay in the Updated state?
When a modification is detected on an App, that app remain in the Updated state (flame icon in the app list, and visible in the RSS feed) for 7 days. (This is done to reduce the bandwidth usage of the feeds.)
How do I remove/delete apps from my Track list?
To remove apps from your list, simply go to the list, and click on the app name, this will open the AppFeed.net small info page about that app and click the "Un-watch" button. You will stop receiving notifications about updates for that app.
Why do I sometimes get notifications about price change when it is still the same?

This happenes because of currency exchange rates:

When apps are published in the Google Play market, the developer can set the base price of his/her country, and optionally the ability to set prices in other currencies. If the developer didn't fix the price in other currencies, then the Google Play market will do the conversion using the currency exchange rates (weekly? have no idea).

When the exchange rates are modified, the app price gets modified by few cents, and this triggers the Updated action for this service.

Can you add other notification methods?

Currently I do not plan to add other methods of notifications for this service, but this can already be achieved by using ifttt service.

An example (mini tutorial) on how to receive notifications by email is on my blog: Get update notifications by email.

How can I add the feed to my Feed Reader?

Just copy the feed URL (such as http://www.appfeed.net/feed.php?t=f5289b83f059af177f41ff172220ae8b and paste it in you feed reader, or into Google Reader, and it is done.

In the Profile page I see "Account type", what is it?

Currently the service is free, but hosting and bandwidth costs money, so currently users who sign up are limited to add up to 25 apps, if a user requires more apps, a donation will convert the account to a "Donate Account" which increases the app limit to 100 apps, but all depends on the donation ammount.

I don't want to use this AppFeed any more, can I delete my account?
I am sorry to hear that you don't like or don't want to use the service, but the possibility for account cancellation and removal is available. Use the Contact Me form to send this request with your email that you used to create an account, and I will remove your information from the service permanently.
